  • Dr Lim Sheow Lei is a medical oncologist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore.
  • Her clinical expertise includes the treatment of gynaecological cancers, such as cancer of the ovary, uterus, cervix and vulva.
  • She was a former senior consultant medical oncologist at the department of gynaecological oncology at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH), an adjunct associate professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, and visiting consultant at the National Cancer Centre.
  • In 2008, Dr Lim joined the department of gynaecological oncology at KKH, and was in charge of the chemotherapy centre.

  • She was awarded research grants by the Japanese government for collaborative research work with Japanese researchers in investigating the role of intraperitoneal chemotherapy (injecting chemotherapy into the abdominopelvic cavity) for the treatment of advanced ovary cancer. Her research work in gynaecological cancers has been published in international and local peer-reviewed journals, including British Journal of Cancer and the Oncologist.
  • Dr Lim has been invited to chair and speak at local and overseas cancer conferences, including an oral presentation at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting.
