  • Dr Lim Chong Hee is a cardiothoracic surgeon practising at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Singapore.
  • His clinical interests include treatment of the heart and organs in the chest, and implantation of mechanical heart assist devices for heart/lung failure and heart/lung transplantation.
  • Dr Lim graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 1990. Thereafter, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK in 1994. He then furthered his training in cardiothoracic surgery at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, USA from 1999 – 2001, where he trained among cardiothoracic experts. As of 2002, Dr Lim has been a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore.
  • Dr Lim is a visiting consultant to the National Heart Centre. He is a member of the Chapter of Cardiothoracic Surgeons in the College of Surgeons, Singapore. There, he has served in various positions, such as honorary secretary from 2005 – 2009 and chairman from 2009 – 2013. He is also a member of the Singapore Thoracic Society.
  • Aside from clinical work, Dr Lim was a senior lecturer and an adjunct associate professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School. He also lectures at regional and international conferences.
